Robyn and Curtis flew allllllllllll the way from China to be married at The Falls Inn, Walter’s Falls. They are both Ontario natives working abroad in China. Here is a preview from their super fun medieval themed wedding!

Here is a mini preview from Jillian and Ryan’s amazing wedding day on June 13 at Talisman Mountain Resort!

The story on The Brides’ Project aired on CBC’s The National on Monday June 22. I was away at a PPO seminar/workshop all day/evening in Toronto so I unfortunately missed the broadcast. You may view the 5 minute online segment here:

Chrissy’s dress was not shown because Claire (the bride-to-be that purchased Chrissy’s dress from TBP) wanted the dress to be a surprise on her wedding day (obviously). The aired segment does show Claire reading Chrissy’s note that Chrissy left with the dress when she donated it to The Brides’ Project!
Here is a sneak peek from my first ever outdoor boudoir session!

That’s all you get to see for now!
Unfortunately The Brides’ Project did not air on The National on Tuesday. The story about the election took precedence. The line-up is always subject to change in the broadcasting world.
It has been rescheduled for next Monday or Tuesday (June 22 or June 23). Feel free to tune into CBC’s The National at 10pmEST (or 9pm or 11pm depending which channel you are on) on Monday June 22 and June 23 to see if it’s on!
I got together with Christina and Jon in May to photograph their engagement session in Southampton (which is a super lovely town). C & J were married on June 13 in Windsor and wanted to have engagement photos done at their cute cottage and the beach.

Beautiful sunset on Lake Huron as always.

Loved this one.

Loved these ones with the texture of the sand as the lead-in lines of the image.

One of my fav’s. I love images with long grass!
Christina and Jon - hope you had a fabulous wedding day on June 13th! It was a pleasure meeting both of you!
On September 20, 2008 I had the extreme privilege of photographing Chrissy and Guy’s wedding day in Collingwood with their reception held at Raven Golf Club at Lora Bay just outside of Thornbury.
Chrissy donated her wedding dress to a wonderful organization called “The Brides’ Project“. The Brides’ Project along with Chrissy’s “story” regarding the donation of her dress will be aired on CBC’s The National on Tuesday June 16th at 11pm.
[**UPDATE**: The story did not air last night. Sorry everyone. I did check their website and it does state: "This lineup is subject to change". I will continue to keep you updated.]
Instead of me explaining what The Brides’ Project is about, I thought it would be better for you to read about it in Chrissy’s words and why she donated her dress to this organization. This is from Chrissy:

I wanted to let you know that I have decided to donate my wedding dress to an organization called The Brides’ Project. My sweet husband, Guy, thought it would be a special tribute to Mom to donate my dress on Mother’s Day. So that is what we did. It is a day that I will never forget!
I love how this organization helps in two ways. Someone who may not be able to afford a dress like mine can enjoy it, and the proceeds go to children with cancer. It doesn’t get any better than that! To learn more about this wonderful organization, please see the link below.
The Brides’ Project contacted me recently to let me know that they had been contacted by the CBC to be featured in a piece on weddings to be shown on The National - and the part they want to focus on more than anything is what they call their “good karma” dresses… mine being one of them!! Having said that, they are sharing a bit about my story in the piece that will air on CBC’s The National on Tuesday June 16 at 10PM.
I thought I would also share with you below, my original email to this wonderful organization. Please spread the word about The Brides Project. I am a true believer in their cause.

Chrissy’s Email to The Brides’ Project:
Hello!
My name is Chrissy. I recently married a wonderful man named Guy in September. I love my beautiful Maggie Sottero dress that I wore for our wedding. My wedding dress brought me much joy on my special day. I decided that I wanted to do something special with my dress. If possible, I wanted to have someone have the opportunity to experience the same sort of joy from my dress.
As I was figuring out what to do, a good friend of mine told me that her sister donated her dress to your organization. When I visited your website I was thrilled to see that the proceeds from dress sales goes towards helping children with cancer. I lost my mother 10 years ago to cancer. Needless to say, it was difficult to not have her there on our wedding day, but I do know that in her own special way, she was with us. After my mother passed away, I realized how important it was for me to give back. As my life, through Mom, has been touched by cancer, it was important to me to give back to an organization that was helping to fight this terrible disease. My search led me to Camp Oochigeas, where I have volunteered for many years.
I would love to donate my wedding dress to your organization. Please let me know how I go about doing this.
Sincerely,
Chrissy Pigeon
