Cedars Cottage Resort Wedding :: Lake Eugenia, ON
posted January 1st, 2010 by Stacey

Rosalee and Jonathan’s non-traditional Italian wedding took place on Sunday September 6th on Lake Eugenia which is very close to home for me - just a hop, skip and a jump.  Rosalee and Jonathan are both city slickers and wanted to have their wedding away from the hustle and bustle and I have to say, they selected a fantastic spot for their wedding weekend. Cedars Cottage Resort is a very LOVELY location just outside of the hamlet of Eugenia, approx. 2 hours north of Toronto.

They couldn’t have asked for a better day - the weather was PERFECT!

On a side note, R & J are both vegetarians which was an interesting yet yummy dinner catered by the Green Door Cafe in Wiarton .

Without further adieu, here is an overview of Rosalee and Jonathan’s wedding day!

Tent and decorations provided by Four Seasons Party Rentals in Markdale .

One thing I’ve noticed over the past little while is how table favours are getting more and more practical for their guests - like Organic Granola (it was delicious mixed in with yoghurt).

I started at 3pm.

This is Rosalee.

And this is Rosalee’s super cool funky hip stellar kickin’ wedding dress she purchased on Queen St. West in Toronto.

And the stylin’ shoes to go with the super cool funky hip stellar kickin’ dress.

This is Jonathan.

He looks happy here, but wait until he…..

….was rehearsing his wedding vows, getting much closer to ceremony time. I was sensing he was a little nervous here…..

…..and here too.

Rosalee has the most infectious laugh I have ever heard in my life. It is one of those laughs that will really brighten your day (if you are having a dreary one). Shown above, this is Rosalee’s reaction when she saw Jonathan’s reaction when she was walking down the aisle.

Here he is! It was quite something to witness (and capture).  I love when the groom gets all emotional.

Of course mom’s cry too.

More tears from emotional readings. There were readings in Italian, German and English. The more languages you understood at this wedding, the more you cried!

Rosalee and Jonathan both wrote their own vows and neither knew what the other was going to say. It was great!

Amazing setting.

LOVED this image during register signing.

Canoe time! R & J were willing to do canoe photos! Shown here Rosalee’s dad brings it out.

Totally worth it!

I will be posting a few more images. We actually went to Eugenia Falls for a few photos before the reception started.  I’ll be back soon.
