October 24, 2009 was one of those “iffy” weather days. Melanie and Michael were married in Melanie’s hometown - Kincardine. It was looking/calling for rain, but the rain didn’t start until just around sunset which was great news because we could do most photos outside.
Melanie and Michael opted for a very small celebration of under 20 people which is a different change of pace from my perspective. Here is a snippet from their 3 hour coverage:

Of course you have to have pumpkins for a late fall wedding!

I’m a huge fan of furry shawls for weddings.

Church Of The Messiah.

Michael is a firefighter in Windsor so we stopped by the firehall for a few photos. Fun!

At dusk, just before dinner was set to begin, we stopped by the beach for one last photo.

The reception was at the Harbour Street Brasserie. This is a REALLY NICE place!!!

Congratulations Melanie and Michael!!
Julie and Darren were originally supposed to have their ceremony at the top of Blue Mountain, but because of rain, plans were changed. We decided after the family and wedding party photos were complete to make the trek part way up the ski hill. It was soooooooo tiring! Well, for me anyways, but not for Julie and Darren. Since they are both in great shape, they have inspired me to get back into shape myself and shed a few pounds. To be completely honest, it was absolutely pathetic how much I was huffing and puffing when we were going up the hill, so on a diet I go!
It was totally worth the hike up the hill….check these out!

This part wasn’t that hard, but it wasn’t until…..

…….we went further up the hill. Soooooo tiring -LOL.

Look at Julie go - in heels too!

LOVE this view!! But see how far we walked? We started at the bottom on that little dirt path and ended up here. Totally worth it! So Julie and Darren are both part of a running club which is why they weren’t huffing and puffing. It’s easy for banker like Darren to make time for a running club though - we all know about “banker hours” - talk about a cushy career! LOL. Just kidding! : )

Groovy fall colours!

These were taken in the heart of The Village.

Muddy shoes.

Their Guest Signing Book.

Loved the apple theme decor!

Congratulations to Julie and Darren!!
Julie and Darren - High School Sweethearts!
J & D tied the knot at Blue Mountain Resorts in Collingwood on Saturday October 3, 2009. Blue Mountain is a fabulous location for any blissful and joyful event such as a wedding.
A large black cloud formed over Blue Mountain just minutes before the ceremony was about to begin so the ceremony had to be held indoors. Thankfully the rain stopped not too long after the receiving line so we could do all the photos outdoors. The Village at Blue is just too fab to not do photos in.

THE shoes. A very important element of the wedding day.

Nothing like writing your speech until the last minute. LOL. Just kidding Julie!

Getting Ready Funnies.

Here’s that big black cloud I mentioned. Yikes!

A cameo appearance by Deanna and “Scottie the Hottie” (who are now parents!).

Part 2 coming soon!
Here are a few photos from Danielle and Chris’ wedding reception at The Falls Inn, Walter’s Falls.

Danielle and Chris had a table for 2 - I think this is a cute idea as an alternative to a large head table.

The Inn Keeper - Mrs. Meg Hallman.

So about the sock dance - it is French tradition that if a younger sibling gets married before an older sibling, the older sibling has to dance in funky socks and guests throw money at her/him. It’s quite the sight! So Danielle knit these marvelous socks for her sister to dance in!

Congratulations to Danielle and Chris!
I am feeling much better now so back to my regular blogging programming.
Danielle and Chris were married at The Falls Inn, Walter Falls on September 26, 2009. It *almost* rained at the beginning of the ceremony but it held off - PHEW! The rain didn’t start until we were just finishing the photos of Danielle and Chris and then we had to go inside to finish the family photos - but that was ok because the inside of The Falls Inn is SUPER nice.
D & C’s wedding was actually a destination wedding for them as they travelled a good 6 hours+ to get to Walter’s Falls from their home in “northernish” Ontario. Destination weddings within Ontario are becoming more and more popular as going out of the country is just not feasible for some couples.
So….here we go!

The Falls Inn. Walter’s Falls in a hamlet located southeast of Owen Sound.

The shoes.

The reception shoes - comfort.

The socks that took Danielle over a year to knit for her single sister to dance in at the reception (more on that later).

Lovely Danielle. Her hair looked awesome.

Quick blow dry of the dress which accidently got wet.

Danielle’s sister made ALL the bouquets and centerpieces around the inn. She is so talented!

Chris - all ready to go.

Chris’s bestman was his little cousin.

Too cute ceremony site.

I just loved this captured moment. It was just after “the kiss” and I thought it was so cute.

Hehehe. Danielle was prepared and brought sunglasses so she didn’t get any rice in her eyes.

Getting all the rice out of D’s hair.

Totally diggin’ the leopard print shoes.

GQ Chris!

This just might be my favourite of D & C together.

I love shooting at The Falls Inn! More images to come from Danielle and Chris’ reception.
I was really looking forward to photographing Kaitlyn and Ryan’s wedding day on September 20, 2009 at Bridges Tavern in Thornbury. I had never photographed there before and I always enjoy new places. This recently renovated mansion, Thornbury’s oldest landmark, is now a tavern. You will see that they have an amazing backyard that overlooks H20. I loved the inside of this of building and I must come back for lunch one day!

The backyard.

Anticipation.

Ceremony was held at 11am with an afternoon BBQ afterwards.

I just loved this set-up. Such a casual atmosphere.

It’s rude to take photos of people eating, but I thought this was an exception : )

Speech.

Congratulations to Kaitlyn and Ryan!!
A few more images from Michelle and Joe’s wedding.

The wine cellar at Talisman is awesome for photos!

Congratulations to Michelle and Joe!
