I posted this recipe last year (and the year before), but I wanted to post it again so no one misses out on this fabulous festive beverage!
If you love eggnog as much as I do, you won’t want to delay in running to the grocery store for all these ingredients.
Here is the quick and simple recipe:
Place ice cream in an extra-large punch bowl. Add half the eggnog. Stir and mash mixture using a potato masher until ice cream is melted and mixture is well combined. Stir in remaining eggnog. Slowly pour in cream soda, stirring to combine. To each glass, add a peppermint stick, cinnamon stick or candy cane. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon (about 1/8 teaspoon per serving). Makes about 24 (6-ounce) servings.
Easy Peasy
YUMMY!!!
As promised, here are some more photos from Katy and Rob’s wedding day on August 16, 2008 .
The Jakobstettel Inn is an awesome and beautiful place for photos! I’d definitely recommend checking this place out!
I loved this photo of the guys!
And this one of the girls!
Mini Olympics.
Rob a la “GQ”.
Seductive Katy.
Katy’s beautiful dress.
I loved this photo of Katy - such a beautiful bride!
Here is Rob with his “big baby blues”! (His eyes).
This was my absolute favourite photo from the day! Soooooo romantic!
The reception was back at the Moorefield community centre. I was blown away when I first stepped in to see how awesomely the place was decorated! It didn’t look like the typical small town community centre. I loved the lanterns hanging from the ceiling and all the tables were decorated so lovely.
The Guest Signing Book at the front entrance.
Proof that I was at the wedding - LOL.
The lovely wine bottles with one of Katy & Rob’s engagement photos on the label.
Oh - this was so fun. An “all you can eat” candy buffet!! This was the first time I had come across this at a wedding. Too much fun! I thought it was a very novel idea. (I am wondering if a few people spoiled room for their dinner though - LOL).
So much yummy candy.
These little boxes were at everyone’s place setting so you could fill it up with candy.
The fabulous cake.
The bouquets still looking fabulous after several hours out of water.
Congratulations to Katy and Rob!!!
‘Tis the season to be…..BUSY! It looks like I will be blogging well into the new year with so many weddings and engagement sessions to share with all of you.

Our happy couple.
Katy reading the note Rob wrote her.
Katy opening the gift Rob gave her that came with the note.
The gift itself - a lovely bracelet! (which was taken after the ceremony as Katy did not have her wedding band then because it was in the garbage at Rob’s house! Seriously!).
The note itself.
LOVED these bouquets! They did not wilt!
These photos of Katy and her girls on the playground equipment were one of my favourite series from the day.
The ceremony was held at Rob’s parents’ backyard. I love this photo of Rob in the background looking at his watch.
Nothin’ like 6 guys on a trampoline!
Pre-Ceremony photos with the boys.
These lovely ceremony programs were designed by Tosha, one of Katy’s bridesmaids who happens to be a graphic designer. (I will be posting Tosha and Jamie’s engagement session after the new year - Jamie was Rob’s best man).
Look how happy (and slightly teary!) Rob is as Katy is coming down the aisle.
I just loved the expression on Rob’s face here.
After the ceremony was over, Rob told Katy how the wedding bands ended up in the garbage can before the ceremony and how they were frantically searching for them just before I started photos with the boys. Thankfully they were found - PHEW!!!
I just loved Katy’s reaction to the story!
I’ll be posting more photos from Katy and Rob’s day tomorrow…..
