One of my goals for 2009 is to blog about a wedding in less than 25 images. So far it’s not working because shown below are 49 snippets from Candace and Mark’s wedding!

Their wedding day was more than perfect and the weather was excellent - not hot, not cold - just right!

Who: Candace & Mark
What: Their Wedding Day!
When: Saturday August 30, 2008
Ceremony: St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church, Zurich, Ontario
Reception: Fire Rock Golf Club, Komoka, Ontario

E-Session: Candace & Mark’s Engagement Photos

I started off the day at Candace’s house in Dashwood. (Totally loved the hair dryer).

Candace’s mom’s dress is on the left.

From Dashwood, I dashed over to Zurich to see Mark. Mark’s “grooms people” included his sister which I thought was a neat really idea.

Farewell - Mark in front of his family home.  New beginnings from this day forward.

I came back to Dashwood to document the finale of Candace getting ready.

The beautiful flowers were arranged by Village Vine Florists in Exeter .  Village Vine Florists also did Kelly (and Jared’s) flowers (05.07.07 - Punta Cana, D.R.).

I am certainly no expert with flowers, but I can honestly say I was blown away by how awesome all the flowers looked.

“I feel like I’m being born!”, said Candace.
It was really funny - you had to be there.

The ceremony service was held at St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church in Zurich.

A reading by Candace’s friend Alexis. Alexis was the maid of honour at Melissa and Mathew’s wedding . I will have the extreme privilege of photographing Alexis and Cam’s wedding this coming summer!

After the ceremony we drove to a nearby private property which was right on Lake Huron.

Looooooved the photos by the water!

Ditto for the photos in the longish grass and sand.

I really loved this photo.

And this one too. The stairs from the beach back up to the top made me huff and puff, but I saw a good opportunity for a cool and stylish photo of Mark about 1/2 way up!

And then off to the side, I spotted this swing and couldn’t resist some matching stylish photos of Candace as well!

Don’t you absolutely LOVE Candace’s little jacket? (Photo bottom right).

I think this was one of my absolute favourites - very “mysterious”.

There is more to come. There are a few I need to share with you from Fire Rock Golf Club and then I will be posting a slideshow with music!

On Saturday I got together with Jami and Ryan at McGowan Falls in Durham for a Winter Portrait Session! We had fun in the snow and cold for about an hour or so. The results were totally worth the chill! Here is a sneak peak - more to come later:

I just returned from a meeting with several local wedding photographers.  One of our familiar album suppliers was one of the sponsors of our meeting and is now carrying this absolutely fantastic line of contemporary Italian-made wedding albums.  Italian design, Italian excellence in quality, Italian technology and Italian style. Check out these sample books!

Like, HELLO!!! Turquoise Leather! Who wouldn’t die for turquoise leather? This is a full grain turquoise leather on the front and back of the album along with a full grain white leather on the spine. And look at the fabulous steel band on the front with your first names engraved!!  Brilliant!  Absolutely stunning - I could eat almost eat this for breakfast (LOL)!

It comes in gold as well……

And white.

Two-toned SUEDE !!

The suede comes in black and gray as well.

Whoa! Canvas gray on the front and back cover along with cherry leather for the spine. At look at that pretty ribbon! Very romantic. Love it!

Canvas brown is available as well.  Loved this one - especially with the pink ribbon.

Canvas Écru and Ostrich Leather Caramel on the front and Ostrich Leather Caramel on the back and spine.

Canvas Écru and Ostrich Leather Brown.

Ostrich Leather Gray.

Red Leather for the super daring.

Shantung Silk Silver on the front and back cover with Full Grain Leather Milk White on the spine. Gotta love the extra large ribbon as a finishing touch.

I’ll admit I’m on the fence about this Jacquard Brown but I wanted to include it anyways.

What do you all think? I’m jumping for joy about these new styles and to top it off, this is a Canadian supplier so we don’t have to worry about the big ol’ exchange rate when pricing an album for you. Speaking of which, the prices of these books are much less than you would think!

A variety of sizes are available in some interesting formats such as: 14×20, 14×18, 12×18, 12×16, 9×14 (and many others) along with all the regular square formats such as 10×10 and 12×12. Smaller books are available for parents - 6×9, 6×8, 7×7 and mini books are available too - 4×5, 4×6, 5×5. If you are impressed as much as I am with these books and would love to have your wedding story designed and displayed in one of these amazing albums, please let me know!

P.S. There are some super cool “accessories” that are included with these albums such as a day planner/organizer with 26 photos from your album!  How awesome is that?

Dreams certainly do come true.

One of my 2008 wedding images has been published in the latest issue of Grace Ormonde Wedding Style magazine .  This magazine is the most elite and prestigious bridal magazine in all of the entire USA.  (It is also the first magazine I’ve ever submitted images to).

I photographed Amy and Allen’s wedding on January 11, 2008. This image was from their Trash-the-Dress Session .

Here is the proof! If you are out and about, check out the latest issue (Spring/Summer 2009) of Grace Ormonde and turn to page 82! Although this magazine is published out of the U.S., you may certainly find a copy in any Chapter’s, Loblaws and even small town convenience stores here in Canada.  It is an absolutely beautiful magazine that is approx. 9×12 in size.  I should mention Amy and Allen’s photo was printed full page - nice and big as it deserves.

Yippee!
