Part 2 of 2 for Mary and Nick’s wedding.

After dessert, Mary, Nick and I hopped into my car to zip down to the beach on Lake Huron for a few more photos at sunset before speeches were scheduled to begin. I love working with couples that are so flexible and willing to do a mini photo shoot later in the evening.  I think the results were totally worth it!

LOVED this one!

When we returned to Hessenland Country Inn my camera and lenses were quite foggy due to the difference in temperature and humidity from outside to inside but it gave a really cool effect like this photo above.

Mary’s father gave the best father-of-the-bride speech I have ever heard. His speech contained very valuable information and many important things were mentioned. I’ll leave it at that because you really had to be there to truly appreciate it.

Isn’t the Hessenland Country Inn cute?

That is the grand finale for Mary and Nick’s wedding day.  Congratulations to both of them!

Mary and Nick were united together with the blessing of marriage on May 9 - my first wedding of this year’s season.

The weather was certainly very interesting! It rained like cats and dogs on my way to Exeter - at some points I couldn’t even see anything in front of me.  However, it had stopped raining once I got to Nick’s house and when I got to Mary’s house the sun actually came out for us!  Overall, it was very cold and super windy the entire day, but M & N were troopers and toughed it out for our outdoor photos that we did during the afternoon.  The only time it rained during photo coverage was during the ceremony and during our trip from the Church to our post-ceremony photo locations - but that was it - perfect timing!!  I just love when that happens.

This is Part 1 of 2 of Mary and Nick’s special day - I have many more images to show you after this post.

Our Happy Groom - Nick.

Back at Mary’s house…..

This was one of my favourite found details of the day.  Mary’s dress hanging outside her bedroom door, the skylight above, the stained glass window with the sun making it’s way through - I love everything about this image.

Flowers by Village Vines Florists in Exeter.

Assistance from Mary’s maid of honour and little sister - Anne.

Trendy rubber boots which you will see more of later.

Mary coming down the stairs.

Loved this image of Mary! I have to thank Mary for crawling through the bush to get to this tree - before the ceremony.  Totally worth it!

Mary’s 12 foot veil. Windy days are great for veils, especially really long ones.

The ceremony was held at the Community Bible Church in Elginfield.

After Mary and Nick were pronounced husband and wife, they celebrated this with communion together.  Very meaningful.

After the ceremony we stopped off at an old abandoned school house in the middle of nowhere for some photos. I loved it - such a cute old building.

I couldn’t get over how happy this little flowergirl was all day. Usually little people this age can be extremely challenging at weddings, but not this one!

The reception was held at Hessenland Country Inn, St. Joseph which is where these next few photos were taken.

Mary was clever and brought along a parasol which added another lovely touch to the photographs! Another one of my fav’s of Mary.

More to come shortly!
