Lindsay teaches Power Skating and needed some business portraits done. We got together a couple of weeks ago for her session. We also did some “Just Because” portraits. You should never feel you need to be getting married to have your portraits professionally created. Sometimes it’s nice to do these types of sessions “just because” - perhaps to capture your youth, celebrate a special birthday (ie. 25, 30, 40, 50, etc.), boost your self-confidence/self-esteem, a gift for your mom, a new Facebook profile photo, etc.

We did the session at my house - some inside, some outside. Here are few of my favourites from our 1 hour session together:

Notice Lindsay’s fab lip gloss.

Loved this one.

And this one too.

Definitely a “VaVoom” photo.

This peacock blue coat was totally fabulous.

Totally a “just for mom” image.

My ultimate favourite from the session.

So Lindsay teaches Power Skating and has been offered a gig to teach in a few different states in the U.S. Groovy!  It is really a fantastic opportunity for her and it is great to see Lindsay follow her dreams with something she enjoys doing.  (On a side note, LIndsay is just one of many recent clients that has inspired me to get motivated to get back into shape again.  Thanks!).

Nothing like hitch-hiking on a back road near Markdale. Hehehe.

I really have fun doing these types of sessions - the glamour/fashion style portraits are right up my alley.  A big thanks to Lindsay for trusting me to create these very important portraits for her as well as meeting her expectations with the final results!

Ok so remember Jessica and Adrian’s maternity session from last summer? Here is the follow-up session we did in September - just one week after Little Miss Ella was born.

Meet……Ella.

Ella lying in Jessica’s “maternity cast”.

Congratulations to Jessica and Adrian!!

I was asked to do a family portrait session for the Bunker family as a gift to their mom for her 50th birthday - great idea!

Their property was absolutely beautiful so we were able to do alot of variety throughout the evening.  Here are just a few photos from their session that we did in July.

This one was ordered as a 16×30 Canvas Gallery Wrap - I can’t wait to see it when it arrives back!

LOVED the gravel pit!

This image, along with the next 2, were ordered as 8×10 Canvas Gallery Wraps. No frame required with Gallery Wraps - they are ready to be hung on the wall.

Of course we did a few photos of mom only since it was her 50th b-day.

If you’re Canadian, you probably think “Senior Portrait Session” means photographs of someone over 65.  I know that’s what I thought when I first heard about these sessions.  However, if you are American, you’ll know exactly what Senior Sessions are all about - high school graduation photos with an extreme twist (as you will see below).

Last month, I had the extreme pleasure of photographing Miss Amber’s Senior Portraits - she will be graduating high school next June.  Miss A and her family are from the state of Michigan and have cottage in the Grand Bend area.  It seemed appropriate to have Amber’s photos done here in Ontario for something totally different.  I had so much fun photographing Amber’s session and I think Amber had a lot of fun changing into several different outfits and having her sister do her hair and make-up differently for each “chapter” of our session.

Here are just a few photos from the evening:

Amber plays golf on the school team.

I would probably try playing golf once if I could play with pink golf clubs!

Next, the “blue” outfit with these awesome heels.

The natural light here was awesome.

Next - the “Elly May Clampett” look in a neighbours soya bean field.

I loved these photos with the ladder in the field.

This was my absolute favourite image from the entire session with the super funky lighting.

Next and final stop - the beach. The sunset was fantastic.

Note 2010 is written in the sand - which will be Amber’s graduating class year. Mine was 1996 (Grade 13) - my how time flies!

These last few in the sand dunes were also some of my fav’s.

One of those images when I can’t decide if colour or black & white is better. I love both here.

Cover Girl Amber.

Hopefully Senior Sessions will become more popular here in Canada soon. They are just so much fun!

I’ll be posting Amber’s slideshow soon.

You remember their sneak peak, now I have a few more photos from Jessica and Adrian’s maternity session to share with you.  We actually did all the photos at my house, with exception to the last few shown at the end of this post by water.

As I mentioned in the sneak peek, I did photograph Jessica and Adrian’s wedding day on August 5, 2007 at the Cranberry Resort in Collingwood.

Adrian was just dying to be in alot of the photos. Actually (LOL), not really. But when their daughter-to-be looks back at the photos many years from now, she will be glad her dad took part in the photo session.

Fun with textures.

We went to the Flesherton Pond for a few more photos. The results were worth it!

Loved this one!

I will look forward to photographing J & A’s daughter when she arrives in September. I guess I’ll keep her name a secret for now…..
