Robyn and Curtis’ wedding was medieval themed. They spent alot of time and energy with the decorations, especially in the reception room and wanted this recorded as part of the day. So…..I went into the room before the guests came in for dinner and did what I do and then the unthinkable happened. I was standing beside the head table and leaned over it to get a long shot of one of the other tables and then all of a sudden I noticed my HAIR WAS ON FIRE!!! Evidently when I leaned over, my hair drooped right into a candle! A chunk of hair on the right side of my head was literally in flames - like, big time. I foofed it away and it disappeared thankfully. But, boy oh boy did the room ever reek of singed hair - it was quite awful. But by the time the guests came in the room, the aroma had drifted away (thank goodness).
That was actually just one of my few blunders that I had during the day - there were actually several more. Like how I almost fell into the river or how my turquoise pendant (that I got in the Dominican Republic) came off the necklace without any warning whatsoever and dropped right inbetween the cracks of the bridge and into the river. It didn’t even bounce onto the bridge and then into the crack - it just went right into the crack and into the water. I was really bummed about that because it was an awesome pendant that I wore often. Oh well. There will be more turquoise pendants.
Back to the wedding photos - here are some from R and C’s reception!

So these were the candles at the head table. Small but mighty! Beware of these if you use flammable products in your hair like I do.

The lovely cake by “MarJennys Cakes“.

The staff dressed as “Wenches”.

Poor guy.

I’m not much for ham (except with Eggs Benedict), but this was very tasty!!

And this Roasted Red Pepper Soup was fantastic!

Yes, the cake was cut with a sword.

Robyn and Curtis set up their own very clever and very unique candid photo booth. It was very impressive.

The archery contest was fun to watch.

Congratulations to Robyn and Curtis!!!
